“Bass” Girl To Appear In Macy’s Parade
“All About That Bass” is still the no. 1 song in the country, and Meghan Trainor has been duly rewarded with an appearance at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, alongside Nick Jonas, Becky G, Lucy Hale and Sting, as well as an unknown number of high-school marching bands and color guards. If this seems like an unimpressive lineup to you, remember that Rick Astley performed on the 2008 parade purely off of the popularity of Rickrolling. The standards are not super high. Idina Menzel is also appearing this year; her hit “Let It Go” would seem to be particularly bad advice for the parade’s legions of balloon holders.
