“The Last Ship”: My FT Review
This new musical, with music & lyrics by Sting and book by John Logan and Brian Yorkey, has opened on Broadway. Here’s my review, from the Financial Times. In a nutshell: The show is beautiful and affecting, but freighted with a heavy cargo of plotlines. Michael Esper and Collin Kelly-Sordelet (pictured) are among the cast. By the way, at yesterday’s opening night, Sting thanked The Queen in his curtain speech.
