Julia: No Plastic Surgery Is Career Risk

Julia Roberts has stepped into the controversy over the pressures on women in Hollywood by claiming she may have risked her career by opting not to undergo a facelift. The Oscar-winning actor, who is 46, made the comments in an interview with You Magazine to promote her role as a beauty ambassador with Lancome. “By Hollywood standards, I guess I’ve already taken a big risk in not having had a facelift,” she said. “But I’ve told Lancome that I want to be an ageing model – so they have to keep me for at least five more years until I’m over 50.” Roberts, whose comments came in the wake of a media furore over 45-year-old Renée Zellweger’s new look. Comedian Russell Brand entered the fray on that topic.
