Neil Patrick To Host The Oscars
Neil Patrick Harris has been auditioning to be Oscar host for quite some time (multiple Tony hostings, Emmy hosting), so it’s only fitting that he has finally been tapped. He richly deserves the gig, and not because he will be the broadcast’s first openly gay male emcee. What do we have to look forward to? An opening monologue with silly singing? His adorable twins and hubby in the front row? A number done in drag? And will his hosting make more likely his supporting-actor nomination for “Gone Girl“?
