Downey’s Next Sherlock To Be Delayed?
Downey is in negotiations to join the cast of “Captain America 3,” with “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” directors Joe and Anthony Russo set to helm. Marvel has no plans at the moment for a fourth “Iron Man” film. While that may be bad news for hard-core “Iron Man” fans, it’s great news for non-fans of Downey as Sherlock Holmes. His joining CAP 3 would mean that “Sherlock Holmes 3” would be delayed. While the first Downey “Sherlock” had some kick, the second was on auto-pilot. Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch is the Sherlock du jour for anyone who cares about acting, story, and style. You don’t agree?
