Idina Menzel To Release X-Mas Album

I generally keep LemonWade free of Christmas treacle, but as the season is not yet in full swing (although I’ve already seen Christmas shop windows in New York!) I’ve decide to relax a bit and share this news: Idina Menzel, currently on Broadway in the new musical “If/Then” but much better known for singing “Let It Go,” as Adele Dazeem, at the Oscars, will release her first Christmas album this fall. Entitled “Holiday Wishes,” the recording is due Oct. 14 from Warner Bros. Records. The album was produced by Walter Afanasieff and features such classics as “A Holly Jolly Christmas” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” as well as Joni Mitchell‘s Christmas-themed “River.” Oh, yeah, right: I’ve always thought of Horseface’s “River” as something to hum when I’m egg-noggin’.
