It’s Almost Time For “Downton”
The fifth season of “Downton Abbey” doesn’t premiere on PBS until January 4th, but the episodes will begin airing in Britain on September 14th, which means that plenty of people in these here United States will be watching them next month. The first 90 minutes of the new season were shown this week in London, and apparently Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) is cheering up. Fresh from getting over the grief of losing her husband, Matthew, that set such a gloom over season four, Lady Mary appears have regained her mojo, with possible suitors knocking on her (bedroom) door and an eagerness to get involved in the running of the estate. Meanwhile, images of Mary and Matthew’s son, Master George Crawley (pictured), have been released. Not a beauty, but then neither is the little George who is the son of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
