Redmayne As Hawking: Oscar Bait?
Two male performances this year strike me as possible Best Actor nominees at Oscar time: Chadwick Boseman, who is brilliant as James Brown in the otherwise meh “Get On Up”; and Ellar Coltrane, who grows up before our eyes in “Boyhood.” Joining their company: Eddie Redmayne. He was the best thing in the “Les Miz” movie and now is physicist Stephen Hawking in “The Theory of Everything.”
