“Broadchurch” Is Heading Into Season Two
David Tennant and Olivia Colman will return to “Broadchurch†for season two, British producer ITV announced Monday. The program will commence filming in the U.K. in the coming days. I confess never quite getting into the show; by the time it aired, I had had my fill of these moody procedurals (“The Killing” et al), in which storylines are as ponderous as the clouds hanging over the sea in the endlessly depicted beach set-ups. BBC America aired season one of the critically acclaimed procedural stateside, while Fox is producing an American adaptation called “Gracepoint,†set to premiere as a 10-episode “event series†this fall. “The Killing” also had an American adaptation, which was inferior to the Danish original.
