Movies: “Neighbors,” with Seth Rogen and Zac Efron, has more laughs than you might expect. “Chef” has Sofia Vergara, which means it might be better to watch this one at home. Television: “Hawaii Five-O,” one of those CBS dramas that urbanites rarely watch, is having its finale on Friday. NBC is premiering its “Rosemary’s Baby” remake in the crowded Sunday-at-9-pm hour. Music: People tell me that “Shine On” is Sarah McLachlan’s best album in years. Don’t miss the Met Opera’s final radio broadcast of the season on Saturday: “La Cenerentola,” with Joyce DiDonato and Juan Diego Florez. Books: Roz Chast brings her cartoonist wit to “Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant?: A Memoir,” about life with her aging parents. Sports: I don’t expect the Nets to get past the Bulls, but I’m encouraged by Brooklyn’s season anyway. Finally: The fact that Mother’s Day is one of those holidays dreamed up by florists and Hallmark doesn’t mean it isn’t worth celebrating.
