“Thrones”: Too Much Racism And Sexism
Danielle Henderson writes of the most recent episode: ‘After yet another rape scene, I no longer trust the creators to bridge the gap of thoughtful conversation between action and intent – so I’ve given up on “Game of Thrones” for good.’ One of Henderson’s main points is that the sex in George RR Martin‘s books is more nuanced than the full-out rapes in the TV adaptation. As a fan of the books, I have to agree.
