Bronx Arts Moves Into New Home

Arthur Aviles is settling his Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance into a new home in New York’s least glamorous borough: a Gothic Revival stone chapel on the grounds of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Westchester Square. Aviles says: ‘We are known in the world as the Boogie Down. When you come to the Bronx, you got to get down, move your body and get funky.” So only funky dance will be taught at the school?
