Is “Hercules” As Bad As It Seems?
The trailer of Brett Ratner’s “Hercules,” a July 25 release starring Dwayne Johnson, makes it look like a strong-man disaster on the order of John Derek’s “Tarzan.” To console myself I had to look again at the trailer for the almost-as-forgettable January release, “The Legend of Hercules,” starring Kellan Lutz. Neither of them holds a candle to Eddie Murphy’s mama yelling “Her-cuh-lees, Her-cuh-lees” in “The Nutty Professor.”
