Pussy Riot Releases “Putin” Video
Pussy Riot have encountered a series of roadblocks — some of them violent — as they’ve tried to “carry out Pussy Riot action” at the site of the Sochi Olympics. But they succeeded in holding a press conference, where they discussed their experience visiting the Olympic city and dealing with Russian authorities. Pussy Riot used the press conference as an opportunity to share their new activist performance video for “Putin Will Teach You How to Love,” a song they’ve referenced many times throughout their trip to Sochi. The video includes footage of the collective in Sochi, including a clip of the recent Cossack whippings.
