“Bronx Bombers”: My FT Review
The Financial Times has published my review of “The Bronx Bombers,” a new off-Broadway-to-Broadway transfer at Circle in the Square about the New York Yankees. Bottom line: ‘It should come as no surprise that “Bronx Bombers,” written and directed by Eric Simonson, is the finest of his unofficial trilogy about the Big Three American Sports. “Lombardi” was about American football, “Magic and Bird” basketball, and the latest play baseball.’ I do not, however, recommend “BB” to Red Sox fans.
