Elliott Smith Recordings Are Released
Mike Doughty, former frontman for Soul Coughing, as well as a solo artist and author, has shared three previously unreleased recordings featuring Elliott Smith (pictured). (Listen here.) They are electronic dance tracks featuring vocals from Smith and production from UUL, aka Doughty. According to Doughty, Smith recorded the vocals a cappella during a late 90s session at L.A.’s Sunset Sound Factory, while he was in town working on “Good Will Hunting.”
