Bradley To Do “Elephant Man” On Broadway
Everyone in the entertainment world seems to love a good physical transformation role, as Oscar winners like Charlize Theron (Monster) and Christian Bale (The Fighter) can attest. But what happens when the reigning Sexiest Man Alive takes on the role of one of history’s most famous deformed men — without the help of prosthetics? If you have tickets — and expect to pay through the nose — to this fall’s Broadway production of “The Elephant Man,” starring Bradley Cooper (pictured), you will find out. Cooper did the drama, written by Bernard Pomerance and set in late 1880s England, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in 2012. No word yet whether his costars there — Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola — will join him on Broadway.
