Mindy Kaling Addresses Cover Controversy
Outrage ensued this week after comedian Mindy Kaling was not shown in a full-body shot in the new issue of Elle magazine. Kaling was chosen as one of four featured “Women in TV.” The Twitter outrage comes after the magazine courted similar controversy for their Melissa McCarthy cover last year. Kaling, however, took to Twitter to say “I love my @ELLEmagazine cover. It made me feel glamorous & cool. And if anyone wants to see more of my body, go on thirteen dates with me.â€
