New Springsteen CD: Mixed Reviews
When I think “High Hopes” I usually think of Frank Sinatra and the Jimmy van Heusen/Sammy Cahn song of the same name that Ol’ Blue Eyes introduced in the 1959 movie “A Hole in the Head.” Now comes a new “High Hopes” — a CD from Bruce Springsteen. The album was “inadvertently” leaked the other day, so bloggers and reviewers and other such vultures swooped down. They weren’t entirely happy. One of the them said: ‘It’s clear that we’re probably looking at something less cohesive and more experimental than some past Springsteen fare.’ Official review date is January 14th.
