Should Hillary Have A Face Lift?
I’ve been asking myself this question ever since she resigned as Secretary of State. On the one hand, she had a health scare not long ago and may be thinking twice about the risks of any elective surgery. She may also have polling data (you don’t think she’s polled this question? Hah!) suggesting the electorate may not like her going under the knife: it conveys superficiality not seriousness. And plastic surgery on her part would activate all the woman-hating that she seems endlessly to inspire. At the same time, Presidential politics is as visual a game as ever, and everybody needs to look his or her best. Especially in 2016, when, if Hillary is the Dem nominee, the Republicans are going to attack her as too old. They won’t use the dreaded “O” word, but they will find a million other ways to convey that thought. Wouldn’t it be nice if Hillary’s face had a freshening?
