Julia Doesn’t Need Our Collective Sympathy
I wanna wretch when I read articles proclaiming Julia Louis-Dreyfus a National Treasure, and how scandalous it would be if her work in the current movie comedy, “Enough Said,” were overlooked at awards season. Julia needs our sympathy? She has several Emmys, and if that weren’t enough her family is ridiculously wealthy: She’s the daughter of billionaire Gerard Louis-Dreyfus, chairman of the Louis Dreyfus Energy Services. Forbes says her family is worth about $3.4 billion. So next time you hear that Oprah is the richest gal in show biz, feel free to roll your eyes a little.
