New “Downton”: Maggie Meets Harriet
Over the weekend, I watched the first episode of “Downton Abbey’s fourth season: it’s being broadcast in the UK, with USA official transmission set for January on PBS. The episode was best savoured for the scenes in which Dame Maggie Smith sparred with Dame Harriet Walter in a cameo as a neighbouring grandee.
