Julie Harris: A Stellar Career In Photos
They dimmed the lights last night on Broadway for Julie Harris. She was one of the few famous-people deaths recently that made me feel sad in any way. Not only because she was supreme at what she did but because she gave so many of her characters something so human: the right to be broken and hurt and yet survive. I hope you enjoy looking through this portfolio of her performances as much as I did. She is pictured in the 1965 Broadway musical “Skyscraper.” (If that original-cast album is still cluttering up your shelves, you’re an obsessive of Dee Sushi proportions.)
