The Dog Whisperer Has A New Television Show
by Bryan Elliott
You might know him as the “Dog Whisperer”; he is the world’s leading dog behaviorist and TV star Cesar Millan. And although he’s on a mission to create change across the world and make a better life for dogs and humans, entrepreneurs and the business C-Suite could learn a few new tricks from Cesar’s Way.
Millan came to Los Angeles in the early 1990s by jumping the boarder from Mexico illegally. He didn’t speak English and had no money in his pocket, but he was determined to succeed. Growing up on a farm taught him how to read and control animals, so he started a small dog walking business in LA walking dogs for $10 an hour.
The rest is history and Cesar eventually became known as the Dog Whisperer but that’s not the end of the story. Three years ago, when Millan was at the top of his business game, he lost everything to what he describes as a betrayal of trust. Now he’s back, wiser and stronger than before with a renewed sense of purpose, a new TV show and a sprawling campus ranch in the heart of LA teaching humans (not dogs) how to be pack leaders and take control of their lives — and dogs.
