“Sweet Bird Of Youth” Opens In London
Tonight is opening night for Tennessee Williams‘ play about gigolo Chance Wayne and faded star Princess Kosmonopolis. My pal Seth Numrich stars as Chance (Paul Newman in the movie), and Kim Cattrall is Princess (Geraldine Page, unforgettable). How I wish I could see it! James Graham adapted the work for the Old Vic, and here he writes about that process: ‘Everything that hurts about the human condition is here.
