Tony Awards: Who I Think Will Win
After the Tony nominations were announced, I predicted who would win the major categories in the Financial Times. Every thing I wrote then I stand by. All I will add is that I’m surprised how many races remain close: “Kinky Boots” vs. “Matilda” for Best Musical; Bertie Carvel vs. Billy Porter for Best Actor/Musical (Carvel should be in the featured category); and Patina Miller (“Pippin”) vs. Laura Osnes (“Cinderella”) for Best Actress/Musical. If you correctly call those races, you will win your Tony betting pool.
