“The Killing” Returns To Weak Reviews
The third season of “The Killing” begins Sunday on AMC. I’m not surprised that the reviews are thumbs-down. (Everyone who’s ever watched the original Danish version of “The Killing” is even more aware of how inferior the American adaptation is.) Variety’s notice is indicative: ‘The show limped through a second-season conclusion…and now returns with a new mystery, feeling very much like yesterday’s news. As usual, the two-hour premiere closes with a flourish, but it’s a long slog to that point, with one compelling cast addition and plot threads that otherwise engage in a different type of killing – specifically, time.’
