Cannes: This Year’s Must-See Films
Over the past two years, the Cannes Film Festival brought the debuts of such films as “Moonrise Kingdom,†“The Tree of Life,†“Rust and Bone,†“Melancholia,†“On the Road†and the Oscar winners “Amour,†“Midnight in Paris†and “The Artist,†in addition to a number of acclaimed arthouse movies. What will join the honor roll this year? The Wrap has singled out 15 movies from the lineup, including Ryan Gosling (pictured) in “Only God Forgives,” which reunited him with his “Drive” director, Nicolas Winding Refn. Can Gosling show some of the vulnerability he’s lost in recent outings?
