For the fourth time in five years, Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting the Tonys. It’s an inarguable choice: Harris is charming, knows how to deliver a joke and a song, and is the star of a popular TV show. My spies tell me there were efforts to snag Tom Hanks, who’s going to win a Tony for his performance in “Lucky Guy.” But Hanks, unlike Harris, doesn’t deliver the youth demo — such as it is for the perennially low-rated Tonys.
