“Pippin” Opens On Broadway
The spring season on Broadway closed in thrilling circus fashion last night, with a revival of the Hirson/Schwartz “Pippin.” The reviews (a sampling here) were chock full of praise for the entertainment value of the production, but there were occasional cavils about the emptiness of the book, especially in the second act.
