Television: Sunday-Night Scorecard
Call the Midwife: A spina-bifida birth and post-partum depression may not sound cheery, but as usual this program’s difficult subjects are a paradoxical pick-me-up. Grade: A-. Game of Thrones: Daenerys (pictured) showed her true mettle, Diana Rigg made one bitchy old lady, and Sansa Stark is the dullest character on TV. Grade: B+. The Good Wife: The central case, about labor-relations at a tech company, was a snooze, and Alicia is dressing a little slutty for a law-firm partner. Plus, David Lee (Zach Grenier) is grating, and not in a good way. Grade: B-. Mad Men: Stan found out about Peggy’s new firm going after Heinz Ketchup and is upset about being used. Ken got frustrated with Don and Pete. And the trivial beat of this season goes on. Grade: B.
