“Rectify” Is TV’s Best New Show?
That’s what Jace Lacob says about the Sundance channel’s “Rectify,” which premieres on Monday. Sundance also gave us the current “Top of the Lake,” which I liked for a couple of episodes until it went off the deep end of weirdness. Lacobs says “Rectify” is “a breathtaking work of immense beauty and a thought-provoking meditation on the nature of crime and punishment, of identity and solitude, of guilt and absolution.” I’m exhausted already.
