Drawing on styles from both the east coast and the dirty south, Mississippi’s rappers seem to have an innate sense of musicality – an idea that the voice can be an instrument, not just a way to deliver a message.’ Big K.R.I.T. is perhaps the best-known member of the Mississippi school.
