Vanessa Williams: A Beautiful, “Bountiful” 50
Miss Vanessa Williams, 50, who is about to star on Broadway with Cicely Tyson in Horton Foote’s “The Trip to Bountiful,” has posed for Allure with her daughters Jillian Hervey and Melanie Hervey. Williams has a healthy-sounding attitude about cosmetic procedures. Vanessa admits that she has undergone the wrinkle-zapping procedure, but only in the capable hands of those who will insure she can make expressions (a must-have when working as an actress). But you can’t fully hold off Father Time and gravity–even with poison shots to the face–so I think she looks pretty damn good for her age. And I love that Williams recently told Barbara Walters that she, Vanessa, likes Botox because it means her face doesn’t have to be “cut.” She said that to a veteran TV personality whose face has undergone almost as many procedures as the mug of Joan Rivers!
