Movies: The Rock in the action thriller “Snitch” or the supernatural thriller “Dark Skies“? I think this may be a good weekend to watch movies at home. Television: I’ve never heard of Sister Rosetta Tharpe, the Godmother of Rock ‘n’ Roll, which is why I’m going to watch the PBS docu about her on Friday. On Sunday, it’s all Oscars (here are LW’s predictions). Music: Billboard counts YouTube plays now, which is why Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” — the soundtrack to the mistitled dance craze sweeping the Internet — is Number One. Books: I’m so sick of winter that I may barricade myself in the house and re-read “War and Peace,” which is set to become a six-part BBC TV miniseries. Sports: The Knicks’ blow-out loss to the Pacers offers further proof that NY may not make it out of the first playoff round. No jokes, please, about Danica Patrick having the “pole position” in this Sunday‘s Daytona 500. Finally: The only way to make it through February is by baking pies. Fancy a little priest?
