Your Weekend: LemonWade Recommends
Movies: Jason Statham, who plays a thief in “Parker,” reminds me that bald men can be sexy. I’m a little tired of fairy tales on steroids, but if you are not then see “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.” Television: PBS’s new series “Shakespeare Uncovered” kicks off with Ethan Hawke and “Macbeth.” “The Good Wife” returns after being pre-empted by football throughout January. Music: I love all things New Orleans, so why am I allergic to Aaron Neville, who has a number-one CD? In preparation for the release of Bowie’s new CD, I’m listening to the early stuff, starting with “Ziggy,” of course. Books: Sonia Sotomayor’s memoir, “My Beloved World,” is a quick, affecting read. Sports: The problem with two weeks from playoffs to Super Bowl is that ESPN so oversaturates the coverage that I half-expect a segment on players’ fingernail grooming. Finally: When people tell me they love the recent cold weather, I think: Yeah, but you have no idea how it’s destroying your skin.
