“American Horror Story”: Jessica Loony

I’ve mentioned Jessica Lange‘s outlandish nun many times, but I have failed to draw the parallel between that character and Lange’s interpretation of Big Edie in the HBO “Grey Gardens” movie. The difference: Big Edie is loony tunes but basically benevolent; the nunnie is evil personified. Finally, did the 1962 movie “Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?” make it a requirement of aging Hollywood actresses that they end up in over-the-top horror shows?
