Balletic “Bunheads” Is About To Return
“Bunheads,” a TV show about an ex-Vegas showgirl (Sutton Foster) who ends up teaching at a low-level ballet school, got some surprisingly good response during its first season. (Season 2 premieres on January 7.) Fussbudget James Wolcott, of Vanity Fair, calls it “a knockout charmer, with Foster revealing a knowing Carol Burnett-ish clowning flair that works beautifully on camera. Her groggy reaction the morning after to finding a wedding ring on her finger is classic, and her line deliveries are screwball-heroine worthy.”
