Mirren Loved Coke: Does The Queen Know?
It’s Oscar season, which means Helen Mirren gets trotted out as a potential candidate for Best Actress. The category is weak this year, which means she may sneak in for playing Mrs. Hitchcock in “Hitchcock.” Or should we say “Hitch-coke,” since we are reminded, in this interview with the cliched headline about her “timeless allure,” that she once “loved coke”? Is the Queen aware of this? (Not that HM should care, since her own family history is riddled with druggies.) Mirren is getting ready to resume her royal duties as the Queen on stage in London in “The Audience.”
