Your Weekend: LemonWade Recommends
Movies: I’m done with “Twilight,” though your teenage friends probably aren’t. Stick with “Silver Linings Playbook” and “Anna Karenina.” Television: Ken Burns’s latest, “The Dust Bowl,” hits PBS on Sunday. Also on then are the “American Music Awards,” featuring Pink, Nicki Minaj, and No Doubt. Music: Susan Boyle says she wants a man. In the meantime, she’ll have to cuddle up with her new CD, which is Number One on Amazon. In other diva news, Rihanna has a new CD, “Unapologetic.” In spite of my love for her as a visual image, the music on this one isn’t worth the price. Books: Two acclaimed novels I’ve been meaning to catch up to: “The Round House,” by Louise Erdrich, and “The Yellow Birds,” by Kevin Powers. Sports: Knicks still have the best record in the NBA, whatever the weekend brings. Finally: Serve Twinkies for Thanksgiving dessert: it may be your last chance.
