He’s Everywhere: Spare Me The Rod, Please!
It’s bad enough that Rod Stewart has foisted a Christmas album on us — which, thanks to the fact that only the over-60s actually pay for music — is a hit. But did he have to combine all the carols with a memoir? “Rod: The Autobiography of Rod Stewart,” has been published. It’s full of all his conquests — the blonde bimbos who wanted to take the Rodster for a spin. And it tells us about his eight children with five women: environmentalism is apparently not one of Rod’s causes. There’s even a bit or two about the music. Personally, I like some of his recent CDs of standards, and I’ll always be loyal to Maggie May. But that’s it.
