Your Weekend: LemonWade Recommends
Movies: I haven’t been as eager to see a big Hollywood movie — “Skyfall” — in months. And if you have even the slightest interest in history then you should see “Lincoln.” Television: I’m not sure the “National Salute To Veterans” will fill the hole left by “Call the Midwife” at 8 pm Sunday on PBS. As for the 9 pm slot on Sunday, I need to start catching up to “Revenge.” Music: I’m going to give Taylor Swift’s smash CD, “Red,” a second chance. Also gonna try again with “The Art of Renee Fleming.” Books: The 2012 election cemented the stardom of numbers cruncher Nate Silver. His book, “The Signal and the Noise,” is selling accordingly. Go, gay nerds! Sports: I’m trying to stick with the Giants, in spite of their putrid loss to the Steelers. Finally: We finished one mega event (the Presidential election) only to zoom immediately to another (Christmas). Do we ever get a break?
