Portion of “Lawrence Of Arabia” Is Restored
Jeffrey Wells points out something about “Lawrence of Arabia,” one of my favorite movies, which has a new 50th Anniversary “Collector’s Edition” Bluray, which will set you back $65 on Amazon. The missing portion of the movie’s “balcony” scene, never seen by anyone, is viewable on disc #3 of the release. Wells’s post includes a brief taste of that scene. The dialogue of Jack Hawkins was dubbed by a guy who didn’t sound much like Hawkins.
