McCarthy Gives “Lincoln” Terrific Review

Todd McCarthy, the most reliable movie critic in America, has given “Lincoln,” directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Daniel Day-Lewis (pictured), an excellent review. Bottom line: “An absorbing, densely packed, sometimes funny telling of the 16th president’s masterful effort in manipulating the passage of the 13th amendment.” If the rest of Hollywood agrees, “Lincoln” could be Best Picture at the next Oscars.
