Tony: Poetry Belongs On The Front Pages
It’s 25 years since the broadcast of the poem “v.”, by Tony Harrison (pictured), on British television caused a storm of protest regarding its torrent of four-letter words. Harrison is still speaking his mind, in art and in interview. In this exchange, I love his conviction that “poetry belongs on the front pages.”
