Rupert Everett Gets Wilde In London
Rupert Everett, who in this picture looks not like he has a portrait in the attic but that he has a poor make-up artist, has at last found a role that fits him like a truss: Oscar Wilde. Following a hugely acclaimed and record-breaking sell out run at London’s Hampstead Theatre, Neil Armfield’s production of David Hare’s “The Judas Kiss” will transfer to the West End. You’ll remember, of course, that years ago on Broadway the part was played by Liam Neeson: miscasting of a colossal order.
