What Honey Boo Boo Child Is Being Paid
Unlike some pop-culture observers, I don’t consider little Alana, otherwise known as Honey Boo Boo, to signal the death of civilization. (The Kardashians still hold that distinction.) In fact, I’ve been able to stomach watching a few minutes here and there of the tot’s TLC show, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.” I even confess to laughing the first time I heard Boo say, “A dollar makes me holler.” The TLC producers didn’t get that memo, however: The family of six earns merely between $2,000 and $4,000 an episode for the 10-episode debut season. I don’t think they’ll be content with so little for season two.
