Dylan Performs At Reopened Capitol
In an ever-changing world, we will always have Bob Dylan. And why not? On the eve of his release of an acclaimed new CD, Dylan left more than 1,800 fans in a packed Capitol Theatre raving and wanting more last night, when the concert hall reopened in Port Chester, New York. Fresh coats of burgundy, black and gold paint coated the interior of the theater that opened in 1926 and had its heyday in the ’70s when acts including Janis Joplin and Carlos Santana performed. And if the reopening sounds like a PBS-fundraising special, who cares? Dylan is still alive and kicking, and that’s something to celebrate.
