Another Oscar For Marion Cotillard?

Marion Cotillard stars as a whale trainer who loses her legs in a new trailer for her upcoming film “Rust and Bone.” Directed in French by Jacques Audiard (“A Prophet”), the dreamy, intense drama has already been earning stellar reviews for Cotillard, who stars alongside Matthias Schoenaerts (“Bullhead”), playing a bare-knuckle boxer. The pair forge a deep relationship in the film, which is set for U.S. release in November. Cotillard won a best actress Oscar in 2008 for her French-language role as singer Edith Piaf in “La Vie en Rose.” Given that this seems a weak year for Best Actress and that she is playing a disabled person, Cotillard is a shoo-in for another Oscar nomination. But for her to win again so soon, in another non-English-language role, would make Hilary Swank‘s head-scratching double victory look like child’s play.
