More News On That “Tootsie” Musical
I’ve been getting a lot of emails this week asking: When will the “Tootsie” musical come to Broadway? Who’s going to star? Whoa, Nellie! When the announcement of the project was made last week, there was a very telling line in the press release: “No creative team has been announced yet.” Why? According to this new report, no reputable songwriters want to tinker with perfection. Also, Dustin Hoffman owns the rights to the movie’s name, and he’s not eager to relinquish them. So the show could conceivably be called “Dollface.” Oh boy oh boy oh boy.
